What has happened before

It begins with the end. When all had started, the gods gave meaning to the void.

[Any tale has a beginning. Our tale centers on the multitude of worlds that exist, on a single gossamer Thread, which runs infinitely from one end of time and space to the other, crossing all dimensions.

Some worlds have but a few entities able to see, and sometimes to traverse, the Thread. Some small few can also manipulate that thread. These are the Gods, the Dieties, and beings of power.

Inifinite worlds, and infinite possibilities, but the cycle of the multiverse is one of successive expansions and contractions. Just as we live now, so too have all things always been. Our position on the Thread is what we will know.

Yrunn is but one series of worlds on the Thread. Can a loop have a start and an end? The moebius strip can start one journey and end another...]

In the beginning, Aerie and Thorn hunted thoughts endlessly in the void. They killed Hu'un the mind thief, and from the steaming flesh of his body, they crafted a world. From the skin of his body, they laid fields, and from his blood, they made the earth. His hair, beautiful, curled and dark, they weaved into a thin strand, and in doing so, they made that which was not that which was to be. The emptiness was filled, and they feasted on the thoughts in his head, and then they lay together.

Their children, dark and light, born to see and to be heard, brought sound and light to the void, and also, the absence of light. From these elements, that first world was named - Yrunn the light, and Ysthol, the dark.
